Amotha water fall 8kms

Awesome place to visit and lovely nature all around. The waterfalls are beautiful and there's lots of places for swimming as well as cafes where you can stop for chai .It is a perfect place for going on nature walks, sighting rare species of birds, carrying out picnics, and much more. Tourists, as well as residents, consider it to be the best spot for weekend's getaways and picnics. However, bathing is not allowed at the waterfall...

Sitabani temple

This temple is situated at a distance of 20 km away from Ramnagar in the center of the dense forest of Sitabani. It is a place where goddess Sita pierced into the earth. The famous attraction of this temple is the three small ice-cold water showers.

Sitabani buffer zone 6kms

The wildlife safaris of this zone is very famous, often the visitors choose Sitabani when permits for Corbett Tiger Reserve (CTR) is not given. During the safari in this zone, you can get a chance to spot tigers, elephants, leopards, deer, wild boar, jackal and many other animals.

Garjiya Mata temple 30kms

Known to have been blessed by the Goddess Parvati, floods have never affected this divine place. Climb three flights of steps on the banks of Kosi river, and you will reach the Garjiya temple. Garjiya Devi is considered to be a peaceful avatar of Goddess Shakti. This temple is among the older Devi temples in India.

Sri Hanuman Dham Temple 30kms

The temple holds great mythological significance as it was built by Neem Karoli Baba who was a famous saint during the 1950s. The temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman who is believed to be the epitome of strength, loyalty and dedication

Corbett fall 56kms

Corbett Fall is certainly gorgeous rustling leaves and killing stillness absolutely charms every tourist here. The extensive region around the water falls provides very good parking and camping facilities. It is a very nice picnic spot.

It's a famous zone for Tigers, Leopards, Elephants, Dears, Jackal, Wild Boar, Birds, Reptiles and many other animals, but its depend on your beautiful luck. Only permitted vehicles can take a wild trek inside the forest.

In the history there were many notable heavy floods on Koshi river killing thousands and displacing millions people. To prevent losses first survey was conducted by British India Major J Renal in around 1779

There are seven lakes in and around Nainital, these are Bhimtal, Sattal, Naukuchiatal, Khurpatal, Malwatal, Harishtal and Lokhamtal. Bhimtal is the biggest one, Nainital is the most visited and Sattal is the most beautiful and least visited. Check out some of the pictures.

If you are fond of being amidst the seclusion of nature, then Ranikhet is a better option. Nainital unfortunately has been bearing the brunt of tourists especially with the flourishing of many hotels on Mall Road. Ranikhet, probably owing to being a cantonment has not been encroached by tourists to that extent.
